I have been researching and designing a self-sufficient commune for creative people, where they can design, create and live in balance with nature. I made a number of designs for that. I also researched the types of plants and materials needed on the site. This way, material can be developed by the community that they can then use for creative purposes.
There are plants growing on the site from which pigments can be extracted for painting. There are also sheep where the wool can be processed into textiles and there is a LAB where micro-organisms can be grown for Bio-Art purposes. The self sufficient community grows its own food in a vegetable garden and food forest. Spread across the site, everyone has their own studio to work in. Research into plant species, bio-materials, sustainable energy, trade economy, Perma culture and setting up a commune were part of my project. The plants that will be added to the site are listed below (in Dutch) in the different layers according to the Perma culture principle.
